Choppy bobs, bold tangerine lips and high-impact haircuts are just a few of the beauty tricks Kendall Jenner has up her sleeve. But for the People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles last night, the California-born model shook up the red carpet beauty rules, stepping out with an art school-worthy smattering of deconstructed jade green eyeliner.
Never one to shy away from a bold hair or makeup risk, Jenner has recently experimented with everything from retro wigs to fake freckles. But the social media star’s graphic lids explored new territory, solidifying her winning status as the weekend’s MVP red carpet beauty.
“Think green,” celebrity artist Mary Phillips wrote in a caption on Instagram that accompanied a close up of Jenner’s high voltage makeup, set against the backdrop of a healthy complexion and soft dark lashes. Asymmetrically dashed on above and below the lashlines, the experimental strokes were a playful take on evening glamour. What better reminder that the best makeup rules are only meant to be broken?
