Kim Kardashian risked a serious wardrobe malfunction for the sake of fashion on Sunday.
The black straps on her gown covered little more than her nipples and sternum as she rocked some serious cutouts on the bodice.
The skirt also featured a thigh-high slit and wrist straps.
The dress is from Mugler’s summer 1998 collection, Harper’s Bazaar reports.
Kardashian wore the gown to the Hollywood Beauty Awards, where her escort, hairstylist Chris Appleton, was honored for his work styling the coifs of stars including Kardashian, Katy Perry and Ariana Grande, People noted.
Kardashian, 38, and Appleton said on Instagram that she had the gown for “a while” and was excited to wear it for her pal’s big night.
“OK, so I’m here with Chris,” Kardashian said in an Instagram story on the way to the event. “Guess who’s nominated? Don’t we look like we’re going to prom? I think this is a 1998 archive look that I’ve been dying to wear, so this was perfect.”
Not to be outdone, on Monday morning the beauty mogul posted a selfie promoting her cosmetics line wearing a full face of makeup with the illusion that she was nude below the waist.
Whoops! We couldn’t access this Tweet.
The erstwhile “Jam” singer captioned the snap “Morning @kkwbeauty.”
