A massive fire broke out at Biocell company in India’s Thane city on Friday evening in the state of Maharashtra. Biocell company is involved in cryo-preservation of stem cells collected from amniotic fluid.

The fire comes after five people died in a blaze at the Serum Institute in Pune, Maharashtra. The facility is located just a kilometre from the Covishield vaccine manufacturing unit.
