Rumours are rife that Roland Mouret is the lucky designer who’s landed one of 2018’s most coveted jobs: that of wedding dress designer to Meghan Markle.
But if you were hoping his London Fashion Week show would give us hints as to what’s to come at the royal wedding, you’ll be sorely disappointed.
This was a collection that focussed mostly on outerwear, tailoring, and chic separates, with nary an evening gown in sight.
However, while there probably weren’t any hints as to what Meghan will wear down the aisle, it’s a safe bet that a number of these chic coats, midi skirts, and blouses will make it into her royal wardrobe for Fall.
Mouret focused on thoughtful use of colour and artful tailoring, and his modern approach to classic fashion made this collection perfect for anyone who likes to look polished and put-together, without ever looking boring.
