YEREVAN, March 1. /ARKA/. Speaking to reporters after a cabinet session today Armenia’s Minister of Economic Development and Investments Tigran Khachatryan said a new player is likely to enter the local market of petroleum.
“There is a foreign investor whose opportunities are being examined now,” said Khachatryan.
Asked to comment on persisting rumors that the price of petroleum is to rise, the minister said that the market is free. “This is a free market, prices are falling and rising under the influence of market factors. In Armenia, the market is open. If petroleum prices rise on the international market, they will also rise in Armenia and vice versa,” said Khachatryan.
