YEREVAN, December 23. /ARKA/. Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) economy is set to record 9% growth in 2019 and reach the mark of 341 billion drams, Artsakh president Bako Sahakyan said on Monday at a joint meeting of the security councils of Armenia and Artsakh in Yerevan.
He said the Artsakh GDP is projected to exceed 375 billion drams in 2020. Bako Sahakyan said also the Artsakh government plans to implement large-scale housing, agricultural, tourism, infrastructure and other programs next year.
“Some programs are quite ambitious, but we are hopeless that they will be possible to implement. I would like to stress that Armenia’s constant and active assistance to Artsakh is the most important guarantor of its economic development,” Sahakyan said.
According to the Statistical Service of Artsakh, in 2018 the nominal GDP stood at 310 billion drams. ($1 – 478.32 drams).
