YEREVAN, March 25. /ARKA/. Petrol prices are expected to drop in Armenia in April, Gegham Gevorgyan, chairman of the State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition, said at a news conference today.
“In recent days, the price of petrol in Armenia has decreased, and a decrease is also expected in April,” he said.
Gevorgyan emphasized that at the moment a special study is being conducted to determine the issues fior regulation of prices for diesel fuel and petrol.
Earlier, Gevrogyan said he expected the price of petrol to drop by an average of 3%.
According to the National Statistics Committee, in February 2020, petrol prices in Armenia decreased by 0.9% compared to January of the same year. Prcies for diesel fule dropped by 1.5%
At the same time, in February of this year compared to February 2019, petrol prices increased by 0.8%, and diesel fuel decreased by 1.6%. At the same time, petrol and diesel prices fell by 0.9% and 1.5%, respectively, compared to December 2019. ($ 1 – 495.43 dram).
