The coming week will be “decisive” as to “revealing all the cards related to the governmental obstacles,” informed political sources said.
“The crippling conditions are still gripping the formation process, amid an inclination to witness further complications,” the sources told Annahar newspaper in remarks published Sunday.
Ruling out a fourteenth meeting between President Michel Aoun and PM-designate Najib Miqati, the sources noted that the latter “will not step down, at least not in this stage.”
“Miqati still believes in the need to form a government and will continue his efforts out of his concerns over the major and existential threats that the country is facing,” the sources added.
Moreover, the newspaper said that Miqati has received advices and wishes from the international community, especially France, to be patient and not to take rushed steps.
