Russia relaxed quotas on tomatoes arriving from Turkey, freeing up exports of the fruit, said Turkish Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan.
The Russian government has approved the measure and it will be enforced in 10 days, Pekcan said on her Twitter account on Wednesday.
The quota will be increased to 250,000 tonnes from 200,000 tonnes, she said.
Tomatoes are a major export for Turkey to Russia. Moscow supplies the country with tens of billions of dollars of natural gas each year, meaning that Turkey has a large trade deficit with its northern Black sea neighbour.
