YEREVAN, July 25. /ARKA/. The situation on the Nakhichevan section of Armenia’s state border is controlled by the country’s armed forces, Armenian Defense Minister David Tonoyan told journalists on Wednesday.
“Azerbaijani armed forces continue their engineering work aimed at strengthening their positions, and we are taking appropriate measure to neutralize these actions,” he said.
The minister denied rumors that things on the border section are tense and the Armenian side sustains some strategic losses.
“Nothing like that. Don’t worry. The armed forces have already taken particular steps to neutralize the effect of reduction of distance between the positions. Appropriate measures have already been taken.” –0—
