YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 4, ARMENPRESS. The unemployment rate declined in Armenia by 14% according to the data of January-August, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Narek Mkrtchyan told reporters in the Parliament.
“We have a decline in the unemployment rate. According to the data of January-August we have 14% decline in unemployment”, the minister said, recalling the recent statement about the increase in the number of jobs.
As for the poverty level, the figure of 2021 will be published in the end of 2022. In this context the Minister said that Armenia is in a post-war period, and this impact still continues.
He stated that the poverty rate in 2020 has been around 27%, emphasizing that methodology has changed compared to 2019.
