Local sources in Idlib province reported on Sunday that assassination operations by terrorist groups have increased in the province, adding that nearly 20 militants have been killed by unidentified gunmen in the past three days.
They also said that infightings have heightened between Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) and ISIL terrorists, adding that civilians in the region are enraged and living in panic.
Meantime, the Arabic service of the Russian state-run news agency, Sputnik, reported that nearly 8,000 terrorists, most of them from Tahrir al-Sham, have been killed and wounded during infighting among militants in Idlib in the past 8 months.
In a relevant development earlier today, Abu Harira Somali, a notorious non-Syrian commander of Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at, was killed by unknown gunmen in the Northeastern province of Idlib.

The sources further pointed to the intensified assassination attempts on the lives of terrorist commanders and tensions among militants, adding that at least four terrorist commanders have been assassinated in the region only in the last few days.
Other sources, meantime, said that heavy fighting is underway between ISIL and Tahrir al-Sham in Western Idlib, adding that Tahrir al-Sham has captured a number of ISIL members in Sahl al-Orouj region following the clashes.
