YEREVAN, July 22. /ARKA/. The government of Armenia intends to raise wine sales to a new level, Acting Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan told reporters on Thursday after a government meeting.
According to him, winemaking is a rare sector, where the companies actively cooperate and plan their activities jointly, because they understand that Armenian wines should be advertised and presented abroad as well as possible.
“In this regard, the Wine and Winemaking Foundation has developed a new 5-year plan to promote Armenian wines abroad and raise their sales to a completely new level,” Kerobyan said without disclosing details.
He only noted that the authorities are trying to provide assistance in purchasing raw materials so that the companies do not have any difficulties. According to him, for this, solutions are being sought for a smooth organization of the process.
He stressed that the available tools provided by the state are sufficient to organize the procurement season well.
