YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan revealed the latest developments in the negotiations for a peace treaty with Azerbaijan.
Speaking in parliament during questions time, PM Pashinyan said that Armenia handed over its proposals regarding the peace treaty to Azerbaijan in Washington D.C.
“The Republic of Armenia conveyed to the Azerbaijani side our proposals related to the peace treaty in Washington. We are waiting for Azerbaijan’s reactions. In terms of reactions, nevertheless we also see certain trends of tensions and this tension is connected also with concrete developments and situations,” the Prime Minister said.
He added that Armenia’s position is clear: Azerbaijan must pull back its troops from occupied territories of Armenia to the initial positions before 11 May 2021.
“Essentially the international community supports our position. We hope that the CSTO will also support our position,” Pashinyan said.
