Lindsay Lohan has been many things: Hollywood starlet, pop singer, punch line in a Pitbull lyric, Lawyer.com spokesperson. She’s now adding reality-TV boss to the list, and we couldn’t be happier—LiLo is reportedly going to be filming a new television show à la Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules, which will follow her and her employees at the Lohan Beach House, her beach club on the Greek island of Mykonos. And we’ve gotten a few hints that she’s going to be just a tough as Vanderpump’s grande dame.
For the past few years, Lohan has lived abroad, sometimes in London, and mostly in Dubai, where she developed a much-discussed pseudo-English accent, with which she still sometimes speaks in her prolific Instagram stories. If you’ve been following her (if you haven’t, there’s still time), you know that she spends much of her time at the Lohan Beach House, where both her sister Ali Lohan and mom Dina both visited recently. She’s opening a second location in Rhodes, which will bring the total tally of Lohan clubs up to three so far (she has also licensed her name to a club in Athens).
Not that Lindsay necessarily should be lending her name to scenes of neon-lit jacuzzis and bottomless cocktails, but it’s a pretty ingenious way to translate her party girl past into a brand we would definitely trust with her at the helm. Even though she told The New York Times earlier this year that “people have to just let go of [my past] and stop bringing it up because it’s not—it’s gone,” the Lohan clubs still market their offerings as “the Lohan way.”
Apparently the cameras will start rolling in August, when the tourist season in Mykonos is at its height, and continue as Lohan and crew open the club in Rhodes. Bunim/Murray, the team behind not just Keeping Up With the Kardashians but Ali and Dina’s short-lived E! show Living Lohan, will serve as producers. And now we know from a recent Instagram post that’s been making it’s way around the Internet that Lindsay means business. On a photo posted by the Rhodes Lohan Beach House account of two women promoting the venue, their boss was nonplussed by their mismatched footwear: “Wear the same shoes please,” she commented. In case she didn’t get the point across, she added, “Or you’re fired.”
Lohan also told the Times that her friend Tiffany, as in Tiffany Trump, would be visiting her in Greece. Might we catch a glimpse of America’s second daughter dancing to one of Lohan’s Top 40 playlists? Will LiLo continue to rule the club with an iron first—especially when, as we’ve learned from Ms. Vanderpump, the success of a show about waitstaff and bartenders all but requires them to be very, very messy? Only time will tell. Until then, we can look out for glimpses of Lohan in one of her first major acting gigs since her retreat to Dubai, Sick Note, a British show costarring fellow redhead Rupert Grint.
