YEREVAN, June 23. /ARKA/. Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation today with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, according to the Kremlin’s official website. It said the conversation took place at the initiative of the Azerbaijani side.
It said the presidents discussed the practical modalities of the implementation of the agreements signed by the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia on Nagorno-Karabakh on November 9, 2020 and January 11, 2021.
‘Particular attention was paid to the intensification of the work of the trilateral working group set up by the three countries to restore economic ties and transport communications in the South Caucasus,” the kremlin.ru said.
Earlier on Wednesday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov discussed the same set of issues by telephone with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.
