https://arka.am-YEREVAN, April 26. /ARKA/. The QR code system will be introduced in Armenia’s tax document circulation from January 1, 2026, Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee Artur Manukyan said at the session of the parliamentary committee on economic issues on Friday.
As for the amendments to the Tax Code, Manukyan noted that this is another initiative of the State Revenue Committee, hich is aimed at reducing the document flow and saving material and human resources.
“The bill provides for the introduction of the newest solutions, in particular, placing QR code on our documents. If a taxpayer downloads any document from his/her personal cabinet, it will be downloaded with a QR code and this code will already be recognized by all other bodies when further submitting this document,” Manukyan said.
He gave a simple example. In particular, if a person needs a certificate to submit to an embassy about the absence of tax liabilities, they will simply download this certificate with a QR code and will submit it to the corresponding department or organization.
Manukyan has also stated that as the elaboration and development of this system will require certain time, it has been proposed that this project come into force on January 1, 2026.
“We have calculated the necessary time it will take to implement this system. At present, appropriate calculations are being made to settle technical issues,” Manukyan concluded.
