YEREVAN, February 17. /ARKA/. Russia and its partners in the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) are trying to take into account the specifics of each country’s economy when shaping their labor markets, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with the leaders of parliamentary factions on Wednesday, Russian TASS news agency reported.
“As for our partners, we are trying to develop such relations within the EEU so that jobs are created there too. Moreover, our division of labor should be such so as to meet the interests of both our country and our partner countries, so that high technologies develop and cooperation become complementary, ‘”Putin said.
He clarified that if the partner countries “have excellent conditions for cultivating some agricultural produces, which are difficult to cultivate in Russia, that potential must be used.” “We are trying to do so within the framework of the EEU,” the president assured.
At the same time, he stressed that jobs in Russia should be provided primarily to Russian citizens.
