Turkish state-run pipeline company BOTAŞ increased natural gas prices by 1 percent.
The price hike for households and businesses will come into force in February, the state-run Anadolu news agency reported on Monday.
Prices were set at 1,276 liras ($176) per 1,000 cubic meters of gas for households and 1,428 liras per cubic metre for commercial clients.
Turkish natural gas prices are being calculated monthly, Anadolu said.
Global energy prices are increasing. Turkey, where inflation runs at an annual 14.6 percent, imports nearly all the natural gas and oil it consumes.
